At Koury Farms, we’ve been fortunate to host countless weddings, each one a unique celebration of love and individuality. Each couple brings their vision to life, showcasing what makes their love story special. Sydney and Holden’s wedding, held here in June, was a shining example of a unique wedding in North Georgia. Their special day was a testament to breaking traditions and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Let’s dive into the unique details of their unforgettable wedding and gather some inspiration for your own special day at Koury Farms.
The bridal party began the day in our elegant and spacious bridal villa. Surrounded by snacks, laughter, and the comfort of matching blue pajamas, they enjoyed every moment of their preparation.
Sydney’s bridal party featured a delightful twist: instead of a traditional maid of honor, she chose a man of honor, showcasing her commitment to making the day uniquely hers. Adding to the fun, Sydney embraced her playful side with a memorable photo in dino-themed undies.
The couple opted for a more traditional approach by skipping the first look and saving the magic of that moment for the ceremony.
Held in our outdoor pavilion, the ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful. The couple chose open seating allowing their loved ones to mingle freely, emphasizing the spirit of togetherness. The aisles were adorned with white carriage lanterns and floral accents, leading to a striking wooden hexagon centerpiece decorated with delicate pink and ivory blooms, designed by Isabella Concetta Design.
Sydney and Holden made the ceremony truly personal by reading their own vows, a heartfelt touch that left everyone emotional. Another endearing twist? Instead of flower girls, they had “flower grannies” who stole the show as they joyfully scattered petals before Sydney’s grand entrance.
The reception was filled with personal touches that told the couple’s story. Photo collages showcased Sydney and Holden’s journey from childhood to their life together, while poignant family photos were displayed on a vintage dresser, adding warmth and nostalgia to the decor.
Guests enjoyed a unique guest book idea: a Polaroid camera station where they could snap photos and add them to a keepsake album. Custom-designed cookies provided a sweet and personal treat for everyone to enjoy.
The dance floor came alive with energy, including lots of children joining in on the festivities. To cap off the evening, Sydney and Holden made a stylish getaway in a vintage car, a fitting end to their one-of-a-kind celebration.
