Wedding Vendor Highlight – Divine Floral Studio

We are delighted to feature Divine Floral Studio, one of our preferred vendors at Koury Farms. We are chatting with Andrea Leon, owner and founder of Divine Florals Studio to learn more about her services, passion for floral design and tips for booking a floral designer for your wedding.

Her journey into floristry began 20 years ago—with her own wedding. While the florals that day were a disappointment, she is actually grateful for the experience. It opened the door to discovering her passion for floral design and delivering an exceptional client experience.

Today, she takes pride not only in creating beautiful floral arrangements, but also in leaving a lasting impression on every couple she works with. Faith is the cornerstone of everything they do, and because of that, it’s deeply important to her that every wedding, and every couple, is treated with the utmost care, respect, and joy.

Can you tell us about the floral packages you offer?

I don’t offer fixed floral packages—instead, I provide a fully personalized floral experience tailored to each couple and wedding. By working within a budget, I ensure that the investment doesn’t limit creativity, but serves as a guiding framework to elevate every detail.

This approach allows me to design thoughtfully—selecting in-season blooms for peak freshness and value, maximizing visual impact while respecting cost.

We begin with a consultation to understand the couple’s vision and priorities, and I craft a proposal that brings out the beauty of their venue, theme, and story without any cookie-cutter limitations . Whether we focus on simple budget-savvy centerpieces or full-scale installations, couples get bespoke design, transparent communication, and a floral journey that reflects their unique day.

How many weddings do you do a year?

For this being our very first year in business, the number of weddings we do annually will naturally vary. Right now, we’re trending toward around 16 weddings this year.

That number is intentional — we firmly believe in quality over quantity. By limiting how many weddings we accept each season, we ensure every couple receives:

  • Personalized attention
  • Exceptional floral design
  • A truly memorable experience

That’s also why I always encourage couples to book early. With limited availability, reserving your date ASAP is the best way to ensure we can fully dedicate ourselves to your special day.

What decor items do you provide?

We provide the following decor items as part of our floral packages:

 Included Decor

  1. Bud vases — Delicate glass vases for single stems or small posies, perfect for scattering across tables or cocktail areas.
  2. Glass cylinder candles — Pillar-style candles in clear glass cylinders to beautifully accent and enhance the floral designs.

If a couple hands you a picture of a look they are going for, can you re-create it?

Yes, please bring them! I highly encourage couples to share images—they’re incredibly helpful for identifying design elements like trends, colors, and personality.

We don’t replicate exactly. Instead, I treat them as a creative springboard. My goal is to capture the essence—the mood, color palette, and feeling—but not perform a carbon copy .

Here’s what that looks like:
We discuss what the couple loves in the photo—color harmony, arrangement shape, foliage types.

  1. I factor in seasonality, availability, and their story.
  2. The result is a design uniquely curated for each couple, with its own signature twist.
  3. Many florists (like me!) encourage flexibility so we can deliver something beautiful, practical, and one-of-a-kind

Do you offer bouquet preservation?

I don’t offer bouquet preservation in-house, but I’m thrilled to partner with Lucia Artistry, a top-notch floral preservation specialist. This seamless partnership saves our couples from coordinating multiple vendors, pickup, or delivery logistics.

How far in advance do couples need to book a florist?

I always advise couples to book their florist as soon as they reserve their venue. Ideally this happens 9–12 months before the wedding, which not only ensures your preferred florist is available but also allows ample time for design consultations, sourcing seasonal blooms, and peace of mind.

Even if all the wedding details aren’t finalized, couples can—and should—secure their date early: a preliminary vision or mood board is often enough for me to start working alongside them . That said, it’s also reasonable to book later—6–9 months out is still acceptable—and in some cases, we can accommodate more limited services closer to the date .

Do you have any tips for couples looking to maximize their floral design budget?

Absolutely!  by thoughtfully repurposing flowers throughout the event, couples can elevate their decor while keeping costs in check. For example, ceremony florals like altar arrangements, arches, or aisle pieces can be moved to reception spaces—behind the sweetheart table, near the cake, or flanking lounge areas—so each bloom gets used more than once

Bridesmaid bouquets, too, make charming additions to bars, dessert tables, or guest book areas, and placing the bridal bouquet on the sweetheart or escort card table keeps it central to the design.

In addition, couples should ask their florist to design with repurposing in mind—choosing freestanding or easily transported installations ensures smooth transitions throughout the day .

Overall, a savvy florist will work with each couple to identify which pieces can be repurposed and how to design efficiently. By thinking strategically, couples will get maximum impact and beautiful continuity throughout their day—making the most of every bloom at every moment.

Any other tips or advice for couples looking to book a florist for their wedding?

When hiring a florist, one of the most important factors is the connection a couple feels with them—since they’ll be working closely together on one of the most memorable days of their lives, it’s vital that they “click.” They need to make sure they genuinely like their portfolio and can envision them bringing your vision to life.

Next, they need to do their due diligence: ask if they’re insured—many venues require proof of liability coverage—request references, and, when possible, speak directly with past brides about their experience.

Couples should not let a budget alone drive their decision—while cost matters, investing in a florist who is professional, communicative, and aligned with their style will ensure a smoother, more enjoyable planning process and a beautiful outcome. A solid florist partnership can truly prevent unexpected issues and elevate your entire wedding experience.
