Today we are featuring Flori Weddings, one of our preferred wedding vendors here at Koury Farms and we are delighted to chat with owner, Samantha Oltean and showcase her business on our blog.

Flori Weddings is a full-service, floral design, venue styling, and MBA certified event planning service ready to help you create your dream wedding or event!

Please can you tell us more about the services you provide?

We offer custom floral design services for all areas of weddings or events – from bouquets and flower girl crowns, to large installations and cascading sweetheart tables – and everything in-between. We also offer wedding and event design and styling services, where we curate custom design and styling concepts that we then execute to create a magical experience for all. Finally, we also offer planning and coordination services, which offer different levels of planning and coordination support – from “I need help all the way” to “I just need someone to make my day run smoothly”.

How many team members do you have?

There are four of us – we are family owned and operated, so Flori Weddings is comprised of:

Samantha Oltean – Owner, Wedding Planner/Coordinator & Venue Stylist

Vita Oltean (Samantha’s Mother-in-law) – Lead Floral Designer

Celia Lockwood (Samantha’s Mother) – Assistant Floral Designer

Lindsey Oltean (Samantha’s Daughter) – Venue Stylist & Social Media Manager

Fun fact – Samantha and Celia moved from England in 1998 and Vita moved from Romania in 1996 – Lindsey is the only ‘American’ despite being half English and half Romanian 🙂 (Flori actually translates to ‘Flowers’ in Romanian)

Do you have a favorite event you have ever worked?

It’s hard to choose just one as we have had so many wonderful experiences working with different Brides. Every wedding is different and unique in its own way. We very much enjoy bridal shows as we are only limited by our own creativity when it comes to our booth design – so we can be a little more out of the box from what our usual requests look like.

How far in advance do couples need to book your services?

It’s always nice to have as much time as possible to plan and create. However, we book some weddings as little as three months in advance, and we currently have some booked for 18 months in advance.

Do you offer any discounts if a client wanted to book multiple services with you? Ie. florals, styling, coordination..

Yes! If a client books us for floral design services and is also interested in planning or coordination, I usually offer a 10% discount on whichever planning package they select. The more services they would like, the more discounts we can offer.

Any other tips or advice for couples looking to book a full-service event company for their wedding?

Obviously, the more time that we have to plan your big day, the better – especially if you are wanting a larger wedding. When it comes to floral design, Pinterest is an excellent resource for helping couples find wedding styling & design inspiration, but remember that the pinterest budgets are not aligned with typical budgets. Don’t be afraid to talk about your budget with your floral designer, we have a lot of experience and come well-equipped with tips and tricks to get the same look and feel as something you love, for a smaller price tag. At Flori, we are huge advocates for repurposing ceremony florals in the reception, so don’t be afraid to ask your floral designer if that is something they offer as well.
