A Beautiful September Wedding in North Georgia Full of Love and Laughter
September is one of the best months to get married in North Georgia. As summer turns to fall there is still plenty of foliage, the sunsets are often spectacular and the nights are crisp and cool.
Our venue is perfect for a beautiful September wedding in North Georgia as couples can host the ceremony under our outdoor covered pavilion overlooking the vineyard and move inside when it gets cooler, for a reception in our main venue.
Let us introduce you to our wonderful couple, Alexis and Sam, who chose Koury Farms Wedding Venue in North Georgia for their September wedding this year.
Alexis and Sam are High School sweethearts who met at Campbell High School in 2015. After a trip to explore Gatlinburg, Tennessee, they got engaged and soon began planning their wedding.
A September wedding was very significant to them, and after searching for venues they fell in love with the friendly atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and farmhouse feel of Koury Farms. Our gorgeous bridal suite was also a huge selling point! As it turned out the only Friday/Saturday date left was September 22nd, which also happens to be the couple’s 8 year anniversary. This date was meant to be!
We loved how this sweet couple opted for precious moments with family such as a first look with grandparents, and included lots of fun details that delighted and entertained their guests.
The color palette they chose for their September wedding was a perfect choice for the season.
Burnt orange was the primary color, which set the tone in the wedding invitations with delicate floral patterns. This color was chosen for the bridesmaid dresses and weaved throughout the design in the table runners, napkins and ring holders.
Florals designed by Flowers By Impressions enhanced the deep orange with complementary shades of peach and ivory roses and delicate sprigs of baby’s breath.
The bride and groom booked our bridal villa to relax and enjoy their wedding preparations. This includes an expansive bridal suite and groom’s room with plenty of space to be joined by their close family and friends who made up the bridal party.
Thoughtful gifts were exchanged, champagne and beers cheersed to calm the nerves before the ceremony.
Touching moments included the bride’s first look with her bridesmaids as well as her grandparents. This was followed by an emotional first touch and heartfelt private vows between the bride and groom.
The Covered Pavillion hosted the “Unplugged Ceremony” and was beautifully decorated with white carriage lanterns that lined the aisle along with rose petals.
The hexagonal ceremony centerpiece adorned with gorgeous florals in the chosen color palette of burnt orange, peach, and ivory set a stunning backdrop against the vineyards.
One of the details that the couple were most excited about was the Live Painter, Elyse Stokes. This was such a fun element that not only entertained their guests but also it will be a wonderful keepsake for the couple to remind them of their special day.
As the September sun was setting, their photographer, Stampfli Photography, took the couple to various spots in the grounds of the venue including the secluded wooded area and lush vineyards for wedding portraits, to take advantage of the spectacular lighting.
Our farmhouse tables were tastefully decorated with burnt orange runners, greenery, lanterns and floating candles. Clever repurposing of some ceremony items ensured efficient use of some of the items in our prop closet. This included the ceremony centerpiece placed behind the sweetheart table and carriage lanterns used to line the aisle were placed on the long guest tables.
Wine barrels held the dessert table which featured not one but two cakes – an Atlanta Braves cake as well as a traditional white wedding cake with a name topper and a figurine of their cute pup.
Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and wedding favors that included drink koozies and candy.
Later in the evening, when the party was in full swing, guests were provided glow sticks which were a huge hit! This couple really knew how to show their guests a good time and it was evident just how much love surrounded this couple on their special day.
A sparkler exit concluded the evening with the couple heading off into the September sunset in a stately 1964 Princess Limo by Stephens Limo. A perfect ending to a beautiful wedding full of love and laughter.
