A meaningful wedding at Koury Farms, with unique touches and thoughtful details
This sweet couple, Mary Kate and Brent hosted their beautiful wedding here at Koury Farms in November 2022, and we were blown away by all the unique touches and thoughtful details they incorporated into their wedding.
They went to so much effort to ensure that each guest felt welcomed, connected to the couple, and truly taken care of. We are sharing some of the stunning images of their wedding below captured by Olivia Rose Photography, so you can see the beautiful moments and hopefully walk away with some of your own meaningful wedding ideas.
The day began in our spacious and elegant bridal suite at Koury Farms which was the ideal setting for the bride to host her close friends and family members with ample space to get ready and relax. The bridal party were presented with custom, monogrammed pajamas that matched the pale green color of their dresses, with the bride in a white set. Each bridesmaid received a small jewelry gift tied with a black bow. They all made a fuss of the youngest members of the bridal party, enjoyed quality time pampering and preening before changing into their dresses.
We adored the bride’s customized denim jacket with her new married last name, which she wore later at the reception to keep her warm as the temperature dropped in the evening.
After touching and emotional first looks with the bride and groom and the bride’s father they were ready to begin the ceremony. This was held at our outdoor covered pavilion.
Wedding signs lined the aisle with powerful statements expressing the meaning of love. Such as “love never fails”, “love always protects” and “love is patient”
They chose to have an unplugged ceremony, so guests were asked to turn off all devices and cameras. This allowed everyone to feel more present in the moment and more connected with the couple.
To symbolize their marriage the couple incorporated a unity braid into their ceremony. This refers to a verse in the bible that states “A code of three strands is not easily broken” The three strands represent God, the bride, and the groom and it symbolizes how the bond between two people can become even stronger with God at the center of the relationship. This is a beautiful alternative to more popular sand or candle unity ceremony traditions.
No detail was spared at the wedding reception to ensure the comfort of the guests, as well as creating memories and mementos that can be treasured for years to come.
Here are some of the meaningful ideas that the couple incorporated into their wedding reception:
This was an amazing, heartfelt wedding and we wish Mary Kate and Brett many years of happiness together.
