Koury Farms was honored to host this rustic, elegant styled shoot recently. We worked together with Amber Brannen from Amber Brannen Photography to source the vendors for this shoot and it all came together in a magical way. All of these vendors can be found on our preferred vendor list.
The inspiration for the shoot was rustic elegance, which is exactly how Koury Farms can be described as a wedding venue. We loved this design concept as country elegance fits our French Countryside inspired farm.
As Amber describes;
“When presented with a barn-like wedding venue, images of burlap, sunflowers and cowboys often spring to mind. This is wonderful and appeals to a lot of people but with this shoot we wanted to highlight the modern and elegant aspects of the venue to show rustic doesn’t always mean “country.” Through the design, we want to appeal to couples that are attracted to a simple, but modern vibe.”
The color palette was kept simple. Greens, whites, and creams were chosen which complemented the vineyards and overall aesthetic of the venue and matched the “elegant” and “simple” vibe. We really loved the color theme since this palette is often used in the French Countryside weddings we see on Pinterest.
Isabella Concetta Design did an incredible job of bringing this neutral color palette to life with her floral designs. She arranged two different bouquets, one with purely just greenery which was unusual but provided a perfect simple touch. The other bouquet was made with beautiful, elegant white roses. Classic and classy, these bouquets didn’t outshine anyone’s dress or details of the day.
Not only did she create the beautiful bouquets, but she set up an entire “arbor”, made entirely of greenery along with the most beautiful table settings composed of roses, more greenery, and candles! She did a beautiful job setting everything up and bringing the vision to life.
The Prissy Plate Company allowed us to use the most beautiful table settings.
Each place setting was comprised of 3 different sized and colored plates (that all coordinated beautifully), silk napkins, and glassware! The look was completed with a delicate script gold nameplate which was to die for!
The baby blue in the plates reminded us of the classic tradition of “something blue” and is also reminiscent of blue shutters often seen in the French countryside! We loved how easily they complimented both the sage and the ivory napkins! The silverware was also interchangeable and enhanced the classic and elegant design.
Oh Sweet Bakery provided a 2 tier semi-naked cake, decorated with touches of greenery adding to that modern vibe. This is a popular style of cake and it photographs so elegantly! It tasted as great as it looked (if not better!).
A wonderful and colorful charcuterie was provided by Cheeseboards and Thangs. An assortment of fruit, crackers, cheeses, meats, and salamis with sweet and savory dips and spreads was not only beautifully presented but also very delicious.
Hair and Makeup was provided by our sweet & talented friend Dani, at the Farmhouse Wellness Spa who transformed our brides with a “fairy” inspired look – especially reflected in the bride’s make up. Dani was able to create 2 very different looks on both “brides” and made them both look truly incredible.
We are incredibly grateful to work with all of these talented individuals and can’t wait for more collaborations in the future. Special thanks go to Amber Brannen from Amber Brannen Photography for styling and capturing the day. We are obsessed with all of these stunning photos. Feel free to browse through them below and we hope that this provides inspiration for a rustic, elegant wedding in a barn setting.
