A Beautiful North Georgia Barn Wedding For These High School Sweethearts!
Maddie and Ryan wanted a fun, laid-back wedding with gorgeous details, and as you can see from these photos, that’s exactly what they got! When searching for wedding venues in Auburn, they envisioned a ‘glam rustic’ setting, a beautiful North Georgia barn wedding with lush greenery, and Koury Farms fit the bill perfectly!
Maddie & Ryan are high school sweethearts who met whilst Maddie was a lacrosse trainer and Ryan was playing lacrosse. The rest, as they say, is history.
When Maddie was at Auburn University, Ryan took Maddie on a nature walk to admire a beautiful waterfall (just like their first date) and surprised Maddie by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.
In Maddie’s words “Our wedding at Koury Farms was a true dream come true. I am so glad we choose Koury Farms to get married, I couldn’t have asked for a better day marrying the love of my life.”
The Timeline – North Georgia Wedding Venue
This beautiful Georgia wedding day began with the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids in our Bridal Suite – this is an elegant space perfect for pampering the bride and her girls with plenty of natural light, mirrors, and chandeliers. The girls enjoyed a relaxing morning in matching pj’s and popped the champagne before changing into their dusty blue dresses of different styles.
Meanwhile, the groomsmen looked dashing in grey suits, and dusty blue bowties, and the groom stood out in a dark blue suit with a grey waistcoat.
Touching first looks with the bride and her father, and the bride and groom took place in the vineyard on the grounds of Koury Farms, Auburn. The photographer, Samantha Jean Becker, captured the raw emotion whilst the bride read emotional letters to each other and presented one another with meaningful gifts. Their sense of fun was evident when they both took a shot before the ceremony!
A bagpipe player led guests to the ceremony spot – the covered pavilion overlooking the vineyard which was decorated with lush greens tied to every other pew with blue ribbon and white lanterns from our prop closet. A cross covered in florals which included babies breath, delicate ivory roses, and dusty blue hydrangeas intertwined with greenery by Ten Point Floral Design provided an elegant, statement ceremony centerpiece.
Wedding Ceremony In Auburn, Georgia
Guild Entertainment kicked off the reception, held in Koury Farms’ main venue, making their beautiful North Georgia barn wedding dreams come true. Fairy lights twinkled from above, tables were adorned with crisp linens, florals in the warming color palette, and silver candle votive holders supplied by us, as part of the prop closet. Guests enjoyed catering by City BBQ. A yummy donut dessert bar satisfied sweet cravings and his and hers custom cocktails were served up by Kim’s Cocktails, with koozies doubling as wedding favors.
There was no shortage of entertainment for the guests at this Auburn wedding, including cornhole, a cute photo booth inside a retro camper van by Sittin Pretty Mobile Photo. Guests could take polaroid pictures to hang up (a fun keepsake for the bride and groom) and finally glow sticks were provided which were certainly a crowd pleaser!
A sparkler exit concluded this beautiful Georgia barn wedding, perfectly planned by Ashlie Muller Celebrations, and the bride and groom set off for newlywed life in the groom’s GT Mustang! Congratulations to this fantastic couple! It sure was one for the books!

There should never have been a doubt that Glynis would make Koury Farms a place where dreams come. Sorry I doubted. But now I am very proud of my daughter.
